Hi, I’m Jeff, a woodworker from a small town in Nebraska. My father was a full-time farmer and a part-time woodworker, known around town as the go-to guy for building projects or remodels. Alongside a neighbor, he had a knack for creating and fixing just about anything. I had the privilege of watching him work from a very young age.
As the youngest of ten siblings—yes, families were big back then—I spent a lot of time with my dad. While I’m sure I tested his patience now and then, he taught me the fundamentals of carpentry: measuring, hammering, and the basics of building. Those early lessons ignited a lifelong passion for woodworking in me.
The smell of freshly cut wood still takes me back to those days spent at my father’s side. When I was a preteen, I started working on small projects of my own—often misplacing his tools in the process. Or so I thought. It wasn’t until later that I realized my dad had been quietly tidying up after me, returning the tools to their proper places.
He had a way of guiding me without taking over, offering advice here and there but mostly letting me make mistakes and figure out how to fix them. Those moments taught me not just the craft but also the patience and resilience that come with it.
I genuinely enjoy collaborating with people to bring their ideas to life and meet their needs. Though I’m a farm boy at heart from Central Nebraska, now living in the bustling city of Omaha with my wife—a fellow farm kid—I’ve carried those small-town values of hard work and connection into everything I do.
